Korea 7 Days 6 Nights (Jeju + Seoul)

Day 1 (part 1)
WooHoo.... Arrived at Seoul. The flight that day arrived as per scheduled. We spend some time at the ladies room (washroom) to layer up especially for some of our other travelling partners who were super afraid of COLD weather. Yeap.... it is their first time travelling in WINTER...!!! for Angie and Myself, it was nothing as we have been to Harbin before in 2008 and during that time, the weather is 4x colder than now. (fyi, korea is -4C at the time of our arrival).

Once we stepped out of the ladies, we walked towards immigration clearance area. WOW.... there were so many peoples (especially for foreign passport). We waited for close to an hour to finally had our passport stamped. With that, we went to collect our luggage and proceeded outside to check out the tourism information counter. Both myself and Angie went looking for the Hanjin Express which is located in 1st or 3rd floor (near to counter A). The reason we are looking for Hanjin Express is because there were 2 bags which we do not plan to bring to JEJU (those two bags are really huge bags which we planned to pack all our shopping items when we shop in Seoul later). I am sure you have seen our itinerary, we are travelling to Jeju on the first day and will stay in Jeju 3 nights before flying back to Seoul. We informed the Hanjin Express guy that we want our 2 luggages to be transferred to MOON GUESTHOUSE (which is our accommodation in Seoul on our 4th & 5th night). We thought that the charges to courier our luggage there will cost a ton. Surprisingly, it cost only W9000 per bag (equivalent to RM25.65 where w2.85 = RM1.00 at the time when we exchange all our Korean Won).

After this was done. We traveled to GIMPO airport via AREX subway. It cost only W3,900 @ RM11.10. To go to the AREX subway, you just need to go to B1 from the lift near exit 5. I know that there are a few other lift that can reach that place but cannot remember already. All you need to do is ask the tourist information counter for the info. They speak English. The train takes about 20 - 30 minutes to reach GIMPO.

Once there, we went directly to EASTERJET counter to ask for our flight ticket to be exchange. At that time, it was around 9.30am. We exchanged our ticket from original flight to Jeju at 1.30pm to flight at 11.45am. The additional cost per pax which we need for forked up is W6,000 @ RM17.10. FYI, the flight ticket is inclusive of 15kg bag check-in.

(referring to my previous blog where i booked my flight ticket at W102,000. With additional W6,000, the total flight ticket to Jeju (return) is W108,000 @ RM307.80).

Since we have about an hour to spare, we went to the closest convenient store to have our breakfast (something simple and on-the-go).

after we filled our stomach, we waited at the gate for the flight attendance to inform us when we can board the flight. At 11.45am, we boarded the flight and depart for Jeju.

Korea 7 Days 6 Nights (Jeju + Seoul)

Finally, the day has arrived. We are taking our flight from LCCT, KL, Msia to Incheon, Seoul, Korea. Total number of travellers in our group - 5pax. Total Journey took 6hrs ++. Since Korea is an hour earlier than us (e.g. Korea time 7am is Msia time 6am), we reached korea at 6.20am korean time (5.20am Malaysian time). As mentioned in our earlier post, we traveled to Korea via Air Asia.

Korea 7 Days 6 Nights (Jeju + Seoul)

Since last year 23rd May 2011, we have already booked our flight to Korea Incheon for 7 days 6 nights from 5th Feb'12 - 11th Feb'12. Yeah.... most of you would have thought that we planned to go there skiing - one of the best skiing place in the world. Unfortunately, i have had bad experiences with skiing previously, hence, i avoided skiing like a mad woman ...

Yeap, our trip is just purely sight-seeing in WINTER time Korea. Yahooo........

Below were the itinerary that Angie and i worked out for our Korea 7 days 6 nights trip.

The above calculation is based on exchange rate of RM3:W1,000

Well.... as usual, this is just planned itinerary, the final trip may turned out completely different from the above but i guess i prefer to have some basis to estimate our budget & travelling itinerary.

Based on above calculation, we estimated to use about RM2,500 (transport [car rental, petrol, jeju internal flight & subway in Seoul], meals, accommodation, entrance fee etc)

Our flight from Kuala Lumpur to Incheon Airport is RM970 all in (2 x meals, 15kg bag & 30kg bag return, seating arrangement etc).

Total estimated budget for 7 days 6 nights Korea (Seoul + Jeju) = RM2500 + RM970 = RM3,470.

Finally, i have taken up the initiative to revivie my blog. yes i know.. it has been some times. The reason that prompted me to re-write my blog will be more on my travelling review & itinerary. My sister and i loves travelling. Most of the time, we will travel on our own instead of joining tour as we prefer the free & easy (no time constraint) travelling. In order to travel on our own, we need to do a lot of research & reading to come up with our itinerary, our budget allocation etc..... In this, my forte is marketing, so compilation of itinerary, planning and budget allocation is not an issue for me. As for my sister - Angie, her forte is reading reviews & blogs to do in-depth research on each and every places / accommodation that we planned to visit. We have always benefited from people's blogs & reviews. Hence, we feel that we should also contribute our knowledge and experience with others who are interested on the places that we have visited.

yea yea. I know I hv neglected my blog for so so so long.... I m sure all my readers have already gave up on me. he he. anyway, I m back. I will post all my past years travelling here I.e. 080531 - Port Dickson Trip

Early in the morning, we set off at about 9am. All went there in a few cars... Luckily i do not need to drive as those who drive that day were all bless with fantastic super expensive cars such as WISH, CAMRY, RAV4, MURANO & etc.... goodness, imagine me driving MyVi there. Luckily, this round, i do not need to drive at all. I sat nicely In RAV4 and enjoy my journey to PD. Wo hoo.... Above pictures were taken when we reached the banglo. We quickly decorate the front hall with balloons and a wishing board "SELAMAT JALAN SINGAPORE KIA".... Well... yeah, Ivan's farewell and he happens to be one singaporean. He is finally going back for good and preparing for marriage with Eurris. I am so happy for him!!!!

Chef Wan Launch at KL

Yeah... Completely cool... We get to join the launch of Chef Wan cookshow for Ayamas. Wow... We were expected to wear our Ayamas uniform, therefore i went there with it but slightly modified... hahaha.. well .. what to do... i am still unable to fit myself into the shirt so i have to wear another read blouse inside... It was quite interesting. We get to see Chef Wan life cooking show, some journalists, ayamas top management and best of all...FOC food... wahahaha... here are those photos taken during the launch...

Thailand Trip

Wow....i am so lucky to be given the chance to travel to Thailand only after working for about 1 month in this company. Absolutely awesome. We were actually there to source for supplier for one of m=our new project. Met up with the potential supplier in Ranong. Very outskirt place but famous for their hot spring. Really fantastic. However, that place is really boring... hahaha... But then of course we get to stay in Thailand Bangkok and did our shopping there. i bought one ciplak LV bag there. hahaha... yeah yeah... some of you who knows me must be shock to hear this but yes... i really bought one.. hehehe.. i am shocked myself but well... i quite like it... Don know whether i will really use it or not.. hahaha....

AYAMAS, here i come

Finally, the first day of work in Ayamas. I travelled all the way to Wisma KFC for my first day of work. Damn, the public transport was horrible. I have to go to KL sentral by Komuter as early as 6.30am to catch a good seating, else i have to travel all the way to KL sentral standing!!! FYI, it is an hour journey from Klang to KL Sentral. When i reached KL Sentral, i have to walk a short distance of 3 mins journey to reach KL monorail station. From there, i have to travelled by KL Monorail for about 20 mins to reach Raja Chulan station whereby i have to walked another 5 mins to reach Wisma KFC. Wow... good exercise for me....... The time to travel back home is even worst! complete nightmare. People seems to be rushing back at about 6.15pm. In order to make sure that i can reach klang before 8pm, i need to squeeze my way into the Komuter that arrive Kl Sentral by 6.15pm. The passengers were humongous. There hardly seems to be any place with any breathing space available by the time all the passengers rush into the komuter. In fact, not all were able to squeezed their way in...... really scary..!!!

Resignation

yeah...today is the day i finally tender my resignation. Wow... never know that i will really leave this company as i really love working there. Well.. i guess people must move on to grow up... haha.. however, i will never forget all that i have learned, enjoyed and cultivate here. I will miss u guys tremendously

Our Beloved Joyce Chu Chu Farewell

About a month ago , we received a shocking news from Chu chu saying that she is going to resign and will be reporting to a new company soon. Well.. she is really secretive about her new working place. All we know is in KL, FMCG line but not food related... Wow.. what a small tip, we cannot guess at all where she is going.... Anyway, we still felt sad that she is going even though she is very quiet and not as "bising" as our dearest tiger.. haha *wink* (pls don kill me tiger).

Anyway, on that day, i was not able to attend on her last day. That is because i was going for my offer letter from *A* company. hehe.. yeah yeah.. soon i will be throwing my letter too...

Back to the main topic, so, today is her last day, so my colleagues surprised her with a bouquet of flowers (above is picture of the flowers) **wah so lovely.. i also want**
Since i wasn't around that day, she wanted to take a photo with me as well. That's why she used the product that i am incharge of as well as the soft toy that Justine bought for me to represent me. Gosh... look at me, branded by Cloud 9 as well as the piggy... sob sob... is that really me ??!!

ChuChu's Bday & URC AGM - Eng Keong's Farewell

In actual, chuchu's bday is on last saturday. However, since we worked only 5 days week, we can either celebrate with her before her bday or after her bday. We decided to do it after her bday. Reason being her present is still on the way... hahaha.. we wanted to make the present something memorable and something special. That's why our beloved jane mama come across this absolutely fantastic idea to put together all her memories of URC into a big portray for her. below is the picture of the portray and chu chu crying when receiving this portray. Sincerely, i love the portray a lot as well......

Well.. a further description into the portray. When you look from far as per shown in the picture on the right, it looks just like a normal portray with Chu chu's picture. However, when you see close up, you will see that the portray is actually make of a few thousands small pictures of all of us (look at the above picture, does it looks like a jigsaw puzzle to you? yes, those jigsaw puzzle is actually all of our photos) Amazing isn't it ? this is completely cool.. we managed to make her cry with this portray... hahaa...


Well...finally, the day come... We have to say goodbye to our friendly Asst. General Manager, Mr Eng Keong. In actual, he was the more of our lecturer, senior, boss, friend and etc. Reason being whenever we talk to our AGM, he will tell us his point of view as well as salesman point of view for any activities that we planned for them. With that, we have another different angle to view the whole situation rather than just from our own opinion. Moreover, he will teach us how to handle the business and what to do and not do from his experience. We really learned a lot from him. Personally, i really like him a lot. I will from time to time talk to him to understand his point of view as well as to learn from his experience.

Anyway, today our company organized this farewell party for him at sheraton, Subang. One of the chinese restaurant. As all of our company salesman, marketing & big management are chinese, we tend to celebrate any company occasion in chinese restaurant. Office Tom Yam Party

We had a tom yam party for lunch in our own office today. Yeah.. We are blessed with a pantry that has microwave, rice cooker & fridge. With that, we can actually do quite a lot of cooking in the office. With the arrival of a few new colleagues, we thought that it is good to have another round of tom yam party in the office to "kam ching" a bit.. Over in URC Marketing, kinda difficult not to show any photos of food as most of the time we are eating. We enjoy food and food is the only common language that we spoke. Besides that, food also de-stress us. Whenever we are unhappy, we will make sure we have good lunch to overcome our stress. In addition to that, we have one good cook here. Last time, before Justine left, we actually have two good COOk. Well... really miss Justine very much. Without her, our office is not so fun anymore......
